Nobu, the landing of Nobuyuki Matsuhisa in Marbella



Nobuyuki Matsuhisa opens this month of June in Marbella the first of its restaurants Nobu in Spain. Puente Romano, also home to Dani Garcia's ' Bistar ' restaurant, is the space chosen by the restoring group of Chef Nippon and Robert de Niro.

In Spring, the famous Japanese cook Nobuyuki Matsuhisa cooked for the first time in Spain. It Was in a tribute that sixteen Spanish chefs gave him a dinner led by the Andalusian Dani Garcia in his Bistar restaurant Puente Romano Beach Resort & Spa in Marbella. There were a great part of the best: Joan Roca, Paco Morales, Marcos Morán, Josen Alija, Francis Padenya and Ricard Camarena.

The appointment of Garcia also served as a foretaste of what this month of June has come true: the opening of the first Nobu Restaurant & Lounge in Spain. In the same resort Marbella, in the middle of the Golden mile of the glamorous city of the Costa del Sol, opens one of its most appreciated and famous spaces.

Known internationally as Nobu, the chef opened his first restaurant in January 1987 in the United States in the Californian city of Beverly Hills. He Was named after his surname, Matsuhisa, and in a short time it became a success to which great celebrities and lovers of Japanese gastronomy were flocking. In it, the restaurateur cultivated a great friendship with the actor and director Robert de Niro and this, in 1994, proposed to him to join together to open a restaurant in New York, the first Nobu.

More than two decades later, the establishments of Matsuhisa and De Niro reach the five continents with more than thirty of dining rooms distributed in twenty-eight cities, in addition to a luxury hotel chain, also taken part by the producer Hollywood Meir Teper, to which in a year will join Roman Bridge.

The Marbella, designed by Studio PCH Malibu, presents to the diners the famous new style Japanese cuisine of Nobu, characterized by combining Japanese traditionality with appreciable South American influences. Star Dishes known all over the world as the black cod miso, its popular tiradito, the yellowtail sashimi with jalapenos or the prawn tempura accompanied by a creamy hot sauce to wet, a custom that is attributed to its gastronomic proposal.

These will be added creations inspired by Marbella and the good Spanish product, one of the reasons why he chose to choose the skin of Toro to open the last of its establishments, and its exclusive cocktails. These will be the protagonists of the lounge of Nobu Marbella, an elegant and brimming with eclecticism in which experts mixologists prepare combined that harmonize perfectly with the special menu that in this environment can be tasted.

The Puente Romano Nobu Restaurant operates in dinner service every day from 19:30 to 1 a.m., at the same time as Nobu Lounge. On Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, the bar will lengthen its closing until 4, accompanying cocktails with live DJs performances.
